On Lake Tahoe's scenic south shore, Heavenly is California's largest resort at 4,800 acres. Heavenly offers the best of winter sunshine and snow, combining more than 300 sunny days per year with an average yearly snowfall of 380 inches. In addition, the resort is home to Tahoe's highest summit and offers 91 trails for skiing or snowboarding, ranging from wide-open cruisers to plunging 1,200-foot chutes. Other winter activities available in the Tahoe basin include backcountry skiing, dog-sled rides, year-round angling, sleigh rides and open-air ice-skating at Heavenly Village. Heavenly is located 54 miles from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
